As has been the pattern for many years, accusations and fabrications about the truth about what happened to the Sikhs in India from 1975 – 1995 continue. A lecturer from Brunel University knowingly or unknowingly also fell for these popular narratives. To rebutt these narratives and tell the truth, Harjinder Singh of Akaal Publishers delivered a lecture on this very topic at Brunel University on Wednesday 29th March 2023. Harjinder Singh arrived at Brunel University to be welcomed at the entrance by security & a policeman. When he arrived at the room to deliver the lecture Brunel University staff informed him a credible threat had been made, threatening the University to cancel the lecture. The University stood for free speech & the lecture took place with increased security measures. Lecturing staff of Brunel who attended the lecture, enjoyed the thought proving lecture & are interested in inviting Harjinder Singh to deliver more lectures at the university.
